With "Race Day" held on August 25, 2012, The 2012 Race the Base Challenge is a unique & exciting show. It is a test of man and machine brought
together for your enjoyment by CFB 4 Wing Cold Lake,  and ZR Auto of Calgary Alberta. This unlikely partnership evolved from a desire to raise
funds for military family based charities in the Cold Lake Region. In 2010 we held an innaugural/beta event that was successful in raising close to
100K for charity. We took everything we learned and have recreated the event to be a spectacular and mind blowing overload of incredible
performance tests for the fastest street legal vehicles in the western hemisphere. Note: Bring your lawn chairs as there are no stands at the event!

New for Race the Base 2012 is an incredibly expanded spectator experience. With a total of 5 unique events spread around the Air Base Tarmac, Spectators will enjoy unprecedented access to competitors and their unique high performance vehicles.

Family Friendly Event

As a Military family charitable fundraising event, we strive to make
the event experience as family positive as possible. To that end,
we will have accessible portable toilets, and a spacious concession
and vendor area. Expect to find hot dogs, hamburgers and
popular drinks. Our goal is to provide family entertaiment
options such as bouncy houses, and face painting as well.

We encourage you to bring your cameras and earplugs
as the military jets and the high performance cars can
be very loud!.
